11 Reasons You Should Give the Gospel in Every Youth Talk

 1. There is a good chance that there are teenagers in your group who are not-yet-Christians and this could be the week they put their faith in Jesus (2 Corinthians 6:2.)

2.  The preaching of the Gospel saves the lost and sanctifies the believer (1 Corinthians 1:18.)

3.  It shows your teenagers that you’re serious about reaching the lost and that, anytime they bring an unreached friend to youth group, that friend will hear the Good News presented clearly (Romans 10:14.)

4.  When teenagers start putting their faith in Jesus during the youth group meeting, atmosphere will become electric with excitement (Acts 2:41-47.)

5.  As you give the Gospel, you are unleashing the very power of God in your message (Romans 1:16.)

6.  As you unpack your passage and find, pull and preach that “scarlet thread” (which leads to Jesus!) you will show your teenagers how to take any passage and, in the words of Spurgeon “make a beeline for the cross”  (John 5:39.)

7.  You create an unspoken contract with your teenagers. Your side of the contract: you will give the gospel weekly. Their side: They will bring their unreached friends to youth group (John 1:41,42.)

8.  Your teenagers will grow in their Gospel fluency (ability to explain the Gospel) from hearing you explain it weekly, (1 Corinthians 15:3,4.)

9.  Your presentation of the Gospel will give a great jumping off point for your teenagers to continue the conversation with the friends they invited (Acts 8:35.)

10. You’ll keep Jesus and his message of love and forgiveness at the center of your youth ministry programming (Revelation 2:1-7.)

11. Your consistency in giving the Gospel will demonstrate to your teenagers that advancing the Gospel is an unshakeable youth ministry priority (1 Corinthians 2:2.)
