Drop the scales from my eyes and let me see
A broken world in desperate need of Thee,
In need of your mercy and your grace,
In need of a glimpse of your dear face.
Strip the blindfold that covers my celestial view.
Let me gaze at a world devoid of you.
Let the sight of it break my heart in two,
Until I’m desperate to bring it back to you.
Heal my eyes and let them see their pain.
Touch my hands and let them touch the lame.
Use my feet and send them for the lost.
Take my mouth and let it speak the cross.
Fill me up with power from above.
Give me strength to reflect your brand of love.
Let the life of your own Son flow through me.
Use me up to point others back to Thee.
Drop the scales of selfishness and pride.
Lift my eyes to a harvest that is wide.
Take my blinders off so I can see the blind.
Let me lose my life so true life they can find.
