Challenges to live a revolutionary life

“Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.” 1 John 2:6

We can live as Jesus did – be radical like He was – because as Christians, Jesus lives in us and wants to live through us. That’s what these Radical Like Jesus challenges are all about – putting into practice the rhythms, activities and actions that Jesus modeled throughout His life.

Be // Challenge 1

I have chosen to be in my father’s house. And by God’s grace, I will never leave. Join me there.

Grow // Challenge 2

Scripture shows us that Jesus grew in four areas for the glory of God. Just as He did, so can we.

Build // Challenge 3

In our work, we should act as though Jesus were standing next to us, checking our motives.

Belong // Challenge 4

Allow the truth of belonging to the Trinity to transform you. You are not alone. Just like Jesus, you belong.

Embrace // Challenge 5

Embrace your identity as a child of God so that it becomes pivotal, powerful, and personal.

Fight // Challenge 6

May we learn to fight. We can strike back against Satan with the Word of God.

Purify // Challenge 7

What secret sins would you be most embarrassed by if they were publicly confessed?

Love // Challenge 8

Love was the driving force of Jesus’ life and he broke through boundaries to love the lost and hurting.

Follow // Challenge 9

Never stop pursuing Jesus. Think of Him, learn from Him, and imitate Him- until you are fully like Him.

Pray // Challenge 10

You don’t need tragedy to unfold around you to yield yourself fully to God.

Shine// Challenge 11

It’s time to light that kindling. Start that fire. Shine like Jesus. And pass it on.

Proclaim // Challenge 12

Jesus came to preach the gospel, and he calls us to do the same. Start today!

Heal // Challenge 13

There are hurting people all around you. See them. Feel for them. Imagine their pain. Then act.

Serve // Challenge 14

You have nothing to lose and everything to win when you serve others like Jesus did.

Abide // Challenge 15

May you abide in Christ as he abides in you. May you allow him to live through you.

Wrestle // Challenge 16

Wrestling with God in prayer makes you stronger spiritually and more limber in life.

Suffer // Challenge 17

Jesus is with you and for you as you walk through suffering and using it to make you more like Him.

Forgive // Challenge 18

If you have put your faith in Jesus based on His death on the cross, you are forgiven.

Die // Challenge 19

Many are willing to literally die for their faith. What are you willing to die to in your life?

Rise // Challenge 20

Let the person of Christ live through you and the power of the resurrected Christ flow through you.

Multiply // Challenge 21

May the Holy Spirit fill you with a holy resolve that will enable you to go and make disciples.
