Faith is how we applaud God.
Hebrews 11:6 tells us that “without faith it is impossible to please God.” That must mean that with faith it is impossible not to please God.
When we believe in our Daddy it must bring a smile to his face. There’s something about a child who really believes in his Daddy that is special both to son and father. I know when my five year old Jeremy grabs my hand and tells me that he believes in me it sends shudders throughout my system.
Jeremy believes in his daddy. Jesus believes in his Daddy too.
Even in the midst of the torture of the crucifixion he trusted in him every step of the way. It was his faith in God that carried him through the strain and the pain. With each lash from Roman whip and mock from Jewish lips, Jesus absorbed the horrific pain because, in the words of Peter “he entrusted himself to him who judges justly”, his heavenly Father. No wonder the Father would show up on the scene throughout the ministry of Jesus just to say something like, “This is my Son in whom I am well pleased.” There was a love/trust relationship of unparalleled proportions that you and I can never fully understand.
But we can partake in it.
No matter what trial you are going through in your life entrust yourself to Daddy. He will carry you through it. He will walk by your side through the valley of the shadow of death.
What’s my trial? It usually deals with finances. This year we have to raise 2.6 million dollars above and beyond what the conferences bring in to fund this exploding ministry called “Dare 2 Share”. Right now I’m not sure how it’s all going to work out. The numbers just don’t add up.
But to be honest they’ve never added up, yet somehow, at the end of the day God has provided again and again and again. Daddy always takes us through to the other side through some miraculous gift, huge cut in expenses, donated services, whatever.
What am I going to do? I’m going to work my tail off. I’m going to do everything I can to cast vision, raise finances, cut expenses, blah, blah, blah. The staff at Dare 2 Share will be doing the same thing.
But, more than anything else, we are going to applaud our God through faith. He will provide. He can’t help himself. When his children believe in him he smiles and then acts.
Whatever trial you are going through try trusting instead of worrying. When you do you are applauding the heavenly Father. You are jumping into the arms of God “entrusting yourself” to him. You are squeezing his hand, looking in his eyes and saying, “Daddy I believe in you.”
Whatever your trial, problem, hurt or challenge start clapping through faith and wait for Daddy to come through once again.
He will.
