…God is in charge (and he loves us!)
…pain is his way of transforming us so he can bless us even more!
…his kingdom is advancing and he wants us to be a part of the party!
…the gospel changes lives and we get to share it with those he puts in our path!
…the worst thing that could happen to us (death) is the best thing that could happen to us (heaven!)
…he has placed us in a community, a workplace and a sphere of influence to make him famous.
…he never will let us go and never stop loving us.
…he is our Daddy and we can approach him anytime with anything (and he’ll listen!)
…Jesus is at his right side interceding on our behalf!
…The Holy Spirit is re-interpreting our prayers to make them fit for the Father’s ears!
…he will always gives us what is best (even when it doesn’t feel like it!)
…he is our constant companion, even if everyone else forsakes us.
…he is working a plan that’s bigger than we could ever imagine.
…Satan’s already toast (he just doesn’t know it yet!)
…Even if we lose a battle here and there Jesus has already won the war!
…Did I mention that God loves us unconditionally and irrevocably?
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:’For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.’ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:31-39
May these realities get your New Year started with hope in your heart and a glimmer in your eye.
