My good friend and fellow speaker at Dare 2 Share is getting married today to a wonderful girl named Rachel. I am travelling to Minnesota for the wedding. What an amazing couple they make! They are fire and ice, yin and yang, strength and grace…and all that cool stuff. But what makes them shine most is their passion for Jesus!
Marriage is a true gift from God. In the marriage relationship we get a picture of God’s love for us. He, the husband, loves us the bride. And we, the bride, honor Him, the husband. But His love is so romantic and so relentless that it doesn’t stop with “I do.” It stops with “I did” or rather “It is finished.” He made the ultimate sacrifice for His bride when He allowed Himself to be slaughtered on a cross. Every time I see a wedding I am reminded of that.
Pray for Zane and Rachel as they begin a new journey, the second most exciting journey of life. The first of course is our relationship with the ultimate lover of our souls, Jesus Christ!
Speaking of lover…I love you Debbie. You are truly God’s gift to me! I thank God for our wedding day on August 11, 1990! It’s hard to believe it’s been 18 years!!! I guess time flies when you’re having fun!
