Right now I’m reading The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and it is an eye-opening and very sobering little book. I love the “praise” that he got for his book on his website,
“May Allah rip out his spine from his back and split his brains in two, and then put them both back, and then do it over and over again. Amen.”
Now that’s a recommendation. Two thumbs up and both cut off!
Did you know that the teachings of the Qur’an command Muslims to kill Christian, Jew and Infidel if they fail to convert or pay the Islamic tax? Check out these gentle, loving words from Muhammad,
“Prophet, make war on the unbleivers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home: an evil fate” (Qu’ran 9:73).
“Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah and those who refect faith fight in the cause of evil: so fight ye against the friends of Satan” (Qu’ran 4:76).
“Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of the Truth (even if they are) people of the Book….” (Qu’ran 9:29)
“O Prophet! Strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and be firt against them. Their abode is Hell, an evil refuge indeed” (Qu’ran 9:73).
“When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield, strike off their heads and, when you have laid them low, bind your captives firmly” (Qu’ran 47:4).
“O ye who believe! Fight the unbelievers who gird you about” (Qu’ran 9:123)
As a matter of fact there are over a hundred verses in the Qur’an that command Islamic beleivers to wage war (i.e.”jihad”) against Christians, Jews and Pagans (i.e. infidels!) According to the author of this New York Times Bestseller, Robert Spencer, “one may attempt to spiritualize such verses, but there is no doubt from the historical record that Muhammad meant them literally.”
Some of you may be thinking to yourself, “Well God commanded the Israelites to wipe out the people living in in Canaan when they invaded the Promised Land.” Yes he did. But he is God (he can do that.) And it’s only a problem if you happen to be a Hittite, Girgashite, Amorite, Canaanite, Perizzite, Hivite or one of the other unfortunate “ites” living in the Old Testament times.
Jesus carried no sword when he came to the earth 2,000 years ago. Instead he carried a cross that he died on for the sins of his enemies. Instead of smiting the infidel he turned the other cheek when punched by one. Instead of beheading them he washed their feet. Instead of starving them to death he fed them.
His command to his disciples was not to go into all the world and commit jihad for Jesus. It was to go and make disciples of all nations, not with brutal force but with the gentle persuasion of the gospel message.
Now most of the Muslims I have met are very nice people. They would probably try to spiritualize their founder’s words by saying things like, “well we shouldn’t take his words literally but look down to the essence of Muhammad’s core message”. But the first followers of the prophet took the prophet’s words very seriously and very literally. The tree of Islam was watered with the blood, not of martyrs, but of those who refused to convert.
I believe that Muhammad would reject the modern view of Islam by the postmodern Muslim. If he were alive today I am convinced that he would most likely chastize, beat or kill those Muslims not willing to force infidels into submission (what the word “jihad” actually means). He would hold dudes like Osama up as heroes of his original intent. Why? Because, as far as I can tell from the Qur’an, O.B.L. and company are the only ones being truly faithful to their prophet’s teachings.
For those of you who beg to differ, beg after checking out the Qur’an itself. I think Muhammad would agree with me on this one.
