We shall arise!
Across the world mankind is trembling;
Pandemic fears, too much to bear.
But through the cries, can you now hear it?
Hope is rising above the fear!
We shall arise because He’s risen!
By faith in Christ our fear is gone.
Through His death, we are forgiven;
His resurrection has made us strong.
The disciples froze in anxious terror,
Their deep sadness too much to bear.
The sight of Jesus torn and bleeding,
Dashed their hopes in pure despair.
The stone was rolled into position,
The seal was put upon the rock.
His body lay in frigid darkness,
But God’s eyes were on the clock.
As hours passed disciples trembled,
Quarantined by fear and dread.
They gave up hope of joy and victory,
The One they trusted was now dead.
But then the day of hope and glory,
Broke the dawn to change history.
When that stone that blocked the Savior,
Was rolled back in victory.
All the sadness locked inside you,
Can be erased once and for all.
On the cross He bore your sorrows,
He bled and died to save your soul.
We shall arise because He’s risen!
By faith in Christ our fear is gone.
Through His death, we are forgiven;
His resurrection has made us strong.
